We are situated directly on the banks of the Willamette River, and there are 12 miles of riverfront paths mere steps from our front door. Making Valley River Inn your home base means you can easily explore Oregon’s most beautiful landscapes. We’re a short drive from hiking and biking trails such as Spencer Butte, Mount Pisgah, and the Ridgeline Trail System. Many guests head to our local mountain resorts in winter to ski and snowboard. They head towards the Pacific Coast all year round to visit sites, including the Sea Lion Caves nature reserve and bird sanctuary.

Valley River Inn is an ideal place for beer lovers. We provide the perfect starting point for exploring Eugene’s local booming beer scene. In particular, we’re close to local breweries that have become renowned for iconic hop-forward IPAs, which have, over recent years, become a staple of the Pacific Northwest region. However, there are plenty of lagers, sours, farmhouse ales, and rich and robust stouts and porters to taste. We can help you visit local breweries, including The Ninkasi Brewery, The Hop Valley Company, Oakshire Brewing, The Falling Sky Brewery, and many more. Details of some of our recommendations below:

Ninkasi Brewing Company. Located at 272 Van Buren St, Eugene, OR 97402. Their hours of operations are 2:30PM-9PM Tuesday through Thursday, 12PM-10PM Friday and Saturday, and 12PM-6PM on Sunday. They are closed Monday.
Hop Valley Brewing Company. Located at 990 W 1st Ave, Eugene, OR 97402. Their hours of operations are 11:30AM-9PM Monday through Thursday, 11:30AM-10PM Friday and Saturday, and 11:30AM-8PM on Sunday.
Oakshire Public house. Located at 207 Madison St, Eugene, OR 97402. Their hours of operations are 11AM-10PM Sunday through Wednesday, 11AM-11PM Thursday through Saturday.
